Robert graduated with honours from Dundee University in 1989. He worked in the Hospital service in Dundee, Canterbury and Glasgow before gaining his Fellowship in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1992. He then completed his Orthodontic Specialist Training, graduating with distinction in his Masters degree from the University of Wales and his Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, where he was awarded the gold medal in 1996. He has worked in Specialist Orthodontic Practice in Edinburgh since 1996. Robbie has a special interest in lingual (invisible) braces and is a member of the Incognito Key Opinion Leader group, lecturing on lingual braces nationally and internationally.
